Our journey started when we realized that the incredible artistry of ancient Egypt was too often being replaced by mass-produced, low-quality plastic replicas.

We knew we could do better. By combining Ahmed’s deep roots and local connections in Egypt with John’s understanding of British quality and design, The Ancient Land was born.

We travel directly to the bustling, generations-old workshops hidden in the winding streets of Cairo and Luxor.

By bypassing the massive tourist conglomerates and working face-to-face with local Egyptian artisans, brass-workers, and stone carvers, we ensure two things:
